Almost all my yorkies had to get use to car rides. When they were pups I would go home get the pup and then go to the gas station. When I would get home I would get the pup and then go around the block. Repeating everyday for a few months. Eventually building up to longer trips.
Even now, Molly is 2 1/2 and if I do not bring her in the car for more than a week she will be shaky again.
Now I have Molly's pups at 4 months and am starting them on the gas station trip. If I go any farther one on them will vomit.
It is a slow process and some are better than others. They sure are all different.
