Sounds like you have your hands full!

Car travel-Emma hates crates and is also a bag escapee in the car, so I got a doggie car seat from PetSmart. It was the "Outward Hound" brand, the smallest size. It's basically a fabric box for her to sit in that straps over the headrest and around the seat, with a harness clip attachment to keep her in the seat. I put her blanket and a toy or two in there for her.
My car has backseat headrests, so when my husband and I both go somewhere, I put it in the backseat, but it fits well in the front seat as well. When it's not in use, I either leave it installed, or hang it on the back of the passenger side headrest. I think I paid around $40 for it, and it is one of the best things I've bought for her.

For House proofing, I'd get her an x pen to confine her to her own area when you can't be with her. Get the tallest one you can find in case she decides she's a jumper. You can get add-on packs to make it larger than the standard size if you want her area to be larger. Put her bed, food, water, and toys in there along with a pee pad.
