It is sooooo wrong that someone pm'ed you and told you that!!! I don't think having labs outdoors makes you irresponsible.
I just got a second one about 4 months ago and it isn't woking for me. My male is soooo jealous of her. Imo it is alot more work with two. but with that said keep in mind I HAVE A DIFFICULT BOY.
