Hi, when I got Sawyer he was 3 months old. He had his vaccine, and he developed kennel cough. It is a hacking cough, and it lasted for weeks. The vet kept him on antibiotics so it didn't develop into pneumonia. He did fine! It is frightening, and I thought I would go crazy with the coughing; but as long as they don't develop pneumonia, it will run its course. The antibiotic was the same thing they give a baby, it was kept refrigerated, and he got it twice a day. Good luck, just be patient and this will pass.
