Many moons ago we adopted a cockapoo naned Horrible. Well that name couldn't stay for suck a wonderful baby. We called him Horrible Clancy for about a week and then just dropped the Horrible part.Never had a problem with him adjusting to his new and much improved name. So the little Max should be easy enough. But when you call Big Max the little one may answer. Maybe a treat when you say thier names? Or a different tone of voice? Or call the shephard Big Max or My Max til the little guy gets used to his new name? |
