Yes, white rice is easier on their tummies if they aren't feeling well, but brown rice is ok otherwise.( I just had this discusion with our vet)
My yorkie has not been feeling well lately and she has been on white rice and boiled white chicken per the vets instructions.
I gave her brown rice tonight because we are out of white. She should be fine as long as she is getting other sources of nutrition.
