Don't feel bad. I'm getting ready to take Gracie for her first grooming. She is just over 6 months. I plan to ask them to cut off the puppy coat, leaving the adult coat. Her adult coat is 1-2" long. I will ask for a trim around her eyes so she can see, but leave her top knot alone even though it has some black in it. I will also ask for the routine foot pad, ear and bum trim and nail trim.
