My Sophie rings a bell to go outside. I just hung a christmas bell because at the time that is all I had. At first she just rung it out of curiosity and every time she did we made a big deal and let her outside. And when I wanted to let her out I would move her over to the bell and ring it and let her out. She picked it up really quick. Good luck and be patient.
