Another friend of mines has a 2year old female yorkie. There is a groomer in the Vet's office that she goes to. The same groomer has been cutting her hair for at least a year and a 1/2. Last week she picked her up from the groomer, and all her hair was cut down, except the face. She's usually parted down the middle, as her hair was growing out. My friend told them what she says each time, shampoo & trim. She said the groomer was not there when she picked her up. Everyone was looking dumbfounded while she cursed them out. She said no one volunteered a sorry, here's a coupon, nothing. She said it was closing time even the vet was gone. She has never had a problem with the groomer and felt the groomer let someone else cut her dog. She feels she should be compensated in some kinda way, even though it won't bring her dog's hair back. When she finally spoke to the groomer, the groomer said sorry, one of her assistant's thought TRIM meant to take it off. What do you think? |
I had just the opposite problem last week. After reading all the scary things on here about groomers, I had decided to do my own. Well, Silk has the thickest coat of any of mine and it drags the floor. With six to groom, it just got to be too much for me. I took three pictures with me of the puppy cut I wanted for her. I went back to get her and she looked just barely cut except her feet. The little girl kept saying she could take more off but I paid the bill and got the heck out of there. I should have known because this groomer is a very young girl and every time I go to the vet's office, she is just standing there at the counter. Lesson learned, never go back.
