If you breed an unhealthy yorkie, no matter what size it is, you are going to get unhealthy puppies. Hootie and Hobbs came from perfectly healthy parents (mom was 5.5lbs and dad was 3.5lbs) and they came out healthy and just happened to be on the small size. My breeder wasn't intentionally breeding to get teeny tiny yorkies, she was breeding for healthy puppies and they just happened to turn out small.
