I hate to be the bad guy here, but cutting hair does not stimulate growth; that is an old wives' tale. Hair growth is stimulated by blood flow and sweat glands. The reason why people buy into it is because, with humans, if you keep the dead ends trimmed off on a regular basis, the hair does not break off, hence, the length is retained.

Using the toothebrush sounds like an excellent idea though!
