Yes, they are waterproof! I have 2 of them and LOVE them...I got mine from the hospital..I THINK they may be bigger than the ones you buy in the store...not sure though..I would like to get a couple more...When I wash them I put down a paper pee pad and Lillie (5 1/2 months) rips it up! I usually wash them once a week.
I have never heard of used pee pads?! I would just wash them with a little bleach...that should kill anything.
