I had to keep Reggie's hair between her eyes cut short. It was very fine and would always make her eyes water really bad. She passed on that baby fine hair around the eyes to some of her pups. Unless you are planning on showing your yorkie, I wouldn't hesitate to keep the hair cut short around the eyes.
