| Buying a sewing machine can be pretty daunting. It sure is a great investment but only if you can fully utilize it full potential.
I have a wonderful bernina which bought (or should I say my hubby bought me) many, many moons away. It came with all the bells and whistles. However, I am not into embroidery and therefore only use it basically for sewing projects that require basic running stitches. I also have a Juki 4 thread serger which I absolutely love and does all my edging giving it a clean look.
When I started sewing though I just borrowed my sister's brand new Montgomery ward brand sewing machine. I used it for about 10 years and did the job wonderfully.
So if you feel you will maximize its use by buying a comprehensive expensive computerized machine, do so . . otherwise, a simple inexpensive good brand sewing machine will be just as good . . . then you can use the extra money to invest in something else
Good luck on your hunt for the right machine |
