I appreciate the response. I called and spoke with the vet's office today. For now, I am just going to watch her and give it time to heal (can take 1-4 weeks, depending on location and such).

If it gets dirty, I am to cleanse with mild soap and water. No peroxide, I learned, as it can damage the new tissue that is growing.
