My vet said he spends half his day telling people to stop being "stool watchers." "This seems to be a fascinating sort of passtime for a lot of people," he said.

Dogs like people have different bowel habits.... much of it depends on how often they eat - what they are eating - how much exercise they get - the amount of fluid they're drinking, their age, etc. etc. etc.

**** Stop and think about people --- some people go to the bathroom at the same time once every day, others go twice a day - some every other day - etc. etc. and it is normal for all of them.

I have one dog that goes to the bathroom outside - and to tell the truth, I don't have a clue how often he goes to the bathroom - and really, I could care less. He's perfectly healthy! My other dog - a 14-month-old Yorkie usually goes twice a day - but, believe me, I'm not counting.

If you dog is eating and drinking well and is happy, affectionate, and playful -- you certainly don't need to be worrying about his stools. My vet said, there are two times to watch -- 1) If they have diarrhea, and 2) If they don't seem to be going at all...... Keep an eye on them ...

***** Thank God - no one's keeping an eye on me!!!!!
