Wembley had this and the vet told me that she should definitely have them pulled because the extra teeth may mis-shape her mouth. She was spayed at 6 months, but the extra teeth were not yet an issue. She is now 11 months, and she had the teeth extraction 2 weeks ago. It went very well. She went in in the morning, and was ready to come home in the afternoon. They extracted 4 teeth, and they told me it was good I did it, because at her age, it was getting too late for the teeth to come out on their own. The surgery is very easy, they told me, because the roots on baby teeth are not very long, so the teeth are pulled without too much pressure.
Anyway, her mouth looks great now, she doesn't pierce her toys anymore like she used to with her extra teeth, and her recovery took no more than one day.
