Not sure if this has been mentioned as I don't have time to read each post right now, but alternatives to from the breeder puppies are rescue yorkies. My yorkie is a rescue dog.
It might not be the route you want to go, and not all rescue yorkies are older. You can check out
http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org/ they are a great organization and have photos of the available dogs who deserve just as much love as any other!
