I'm not sure you can really guess. Stomper was 3 pounds at 8 weeks and 5 pounds at 3 months...he is now 18 pounds! The vet told me 8, then 10, then 12...I gave up! He ended up being a BIG boy!
I don't think you can use the calculation in all cases since they all vary.
