I will add that Oscar was very picky...thought I would never get him off of the Royal Canin...he hated everything else, but loved the Wellness right off the bat. The Royal Canin was small bites that he swallowed whole. The Wellness is bites that are smaller than a Hershey's Kiss, about half the size, but he has to chew them, which is good for his teeth. I highly recommend the Wellness and I think it is rated pretty well! Good luck!
It does smell rank but it is an excellant dog food for those with sensitive stomachs and my Japanese Chin loves this food. I have 3 dogs and each one is on a different food. Two are on Wellness but different formulas and the third (Yorkie) wil be trying the Wellness Simple Solutions Venison as soon as he recovers from a colitis attack. We have discovered he's allergic to potatoes, and any poultry, wheat, etc. I will have to try the treats on the other two, sound interesting. I find that the Royal Canin caused itching. I have tried many brands but always ask for samples first, many do have them.
