Fence It happens I just got a fence for my girls and I love it. I have an acre and wanted an invisible fence or one of those Forever Fences that have the decorative bars. Well, after researching the first, I would never shock my yorkies, not to mention that they are very fast and could just learn to run through. The Forever Fence would have had to be put 3 inches apart rather than 4 because Lacey could go right through the bars! That was an estimated cost of $11,000 for about 1/4 acre. So, I happened to go to a neighborhood home and there was a black vinyl chain length fence that blended nicely in our wooded neighborhood. So, I got more than 1/2 acre fenced for about $3500 and it looks terrific. Now, my girls can run more than in the dog park, it's so cute to watch them chase each other and the squirrels. They also put a wire along the bottom to prevent digging under. I still can't let them out without supervision because of owls and fox that think Lacey is a great lunch but I don't have to worry about them getting lost forever in the woods. |
