I think around six months is a good time to consider spaying your dog.

------- But please do remember - that a dog is never too old to get spayed. So, if you have an older female that has never been spayed, you should still get it done --- for her health and to prevent cancer and other problems.

The same is true for neutering........

I got my little male neutered when he was almost a year old -- to allow him more time for his baby teeth to fall out (which they did - even at 9 and 10 months) -- but son of a gun - he still had to have two pulled. The vet said these two teeth were in there so firmly that he thinks they never would have fallen out on their own.
