I do the exact same thing. It is wise to do so. I am afraid that due to the new local laws passed in our area on the mandatory spay/neuter/microchip that many are not getting their dogs shots. The article stated that people are not bringing their dogs in to get there shots and it is causing a real epidemic. I have heard so many, many people comment, because of the new local laws that they are just not going to get their dogs shots and visit to the vets, there fore, the county will not have any knowledge of their owning them. Here again, like I said before people need to be responsable, those that caused these new laws to be brought about are those that are irresponsable and now those not getting their dogs vaccinated are sharing in their irresponsablity, so now who is suffering? Yes, the dogs and those that are responsable pet owners. It is so scarey.
