As for the DNA testing - why does everyone keep arguing that DNA can't prove the breed? No one ever said anything in this entire thread that it can. She simply said that the parents and grandparents were tested to show that they were who the breeders say they are - and they're yorkies.
And lastly, darbygale, why are you arguing EVERY single thing that JeanieK says? I honestly think at this point if she said the sky is blue you'd say "no it's green." Jeanie has obviously done her extensive research - should wouldn't be holding her stance from 150+ posts if she hadn't. You keep trying to argue every little tiny thing and think she's hiding the names - she gave the names, do the research if you so wish. I'm not trying to attack you personally, darbygale, but it's really quite humorous the things you're arguing. |
She gave a partial name of Mickey Spillane. If you go to AKC and look it up, two dogs come up with that name. One is Mickey Spillane born 12-30-83 and the other is Mickey Spillane II born 10-08-02. Now, the one born in 1983 was before Gloria Lipman had the parti color puppy born. The parti's were being registered before 2002 and since Jeanie said he was the first one AKC registered, that does not fit either. I am just asking for the full name or AKC number so I can research it. Also, why won't she give the name of the bitch? What is she hiding or afraid of us finding out.
I was at the Lipman's once a week for years and when she had the first parti puppy so I think I know a bit more about how this all started than either of you. And breeding a parti to a parti does not always produce all parti's.
If you want to have a new breed, take the name yorkshire terrier off of it like the Biewers are doing. The Biewers have a definate standard that the dogs have to follow. White has to be certain places as do other colors. The partis you are talking about can be just about any mish mosh of colors. I think most are looking at the partis as a huge money maker. And please don't tout them has having no health problems. Oh yes, I forgot to mention they also have had liver shunt.
