Did you have a formal contract of purchase? Did it say that in there that the puppy you are about to get is either AKC registered or is registrable (which means that your puppy is a recognized purebreed and has AKC registered parents)?
With respect to limited registrations, your breeder can't just withold documents without you agreeing to it. What essentially happened when you bought a puppy is a purchase contract where you were made a particular offer that you accepted. You paid money in exchange for the good, i.e., your dog. In order for you to demand something from the seller, you need to have an enforceable agreement that was violated by the breeder. It is not clear to me, based on your earlier email, 1) that there was a valid contract and 2) that this contract was in fact breached or violated by the breeder. Without 1 and 2, you can hardly demand anything from her legally. |
