It concerned me too, even though dogs are supposed to be natural swimmers, if they hit themselves on something, get tired, or the wake of another boat sweeps them up it would be disasterous. I had already planned on buying a preserver, but the terrible accident made me glad I did. You can't watch them all the time, and we have a pontoon boat, so Jack will be free to roam around. I really hope he likes the water, it will be my luck I have a scaredy cat.
