ok, im sorry for the confusing post. My dog is NOT in the crate all the time. The most he will be in there for is three hours besides overnight.Every morning i let him outsideand he will pee and sometimes poop. Then i have to leave for school and i place him in the crate. Sometimes when i place him in the crate he will go in there 5 minutes after he just went outside. So what the trainer told me to do is when he messes in one crate to place him in another crate so that he thinks "if im going in my crate i am just going to be moved into another crate". She said the reason fo rthis is because he may think that if he messes in the crate then he will come out. ( because this is what usually happenes, he messes in the vrate and then comes out to get cleaned and get his crate cleaned. So, his day in the crate is only about 2 hours long because my mom takes him out while im in school and then leaves for work. Then i come home and take him out and then he stay about the house. But sometimes when i do need to place him in the crate he will go in there which is the main problem for me. Is their a alternative to the crate to help with house breaking him outside? |
