I can imagine that feeling. Glad you got such a quick response from your local police and the "kids" are fine.
I heard about a lady who dropped her electronic key in a puddle and it would not unlock her door. She called her hubby on the phone to see if he would bring his key down. After a few minutes on the phone, she hung up very sheepishly and turned the key around and used the manual end.
