I go to my parents for supper every Sunday night and I bring Sadie and Lillie with me...Hubby usually comes but, had to work...I got out of my car and went to open the back door and realized it was locked so...I opened the drivers door, unlocked the door (I thought!)....I locked it!!

The girls were still in the car and.....my keys and pocketbook were....yup! in the car...My Dad was standing outside looked at me and, must have been the look on my face and saying O SH**!! said...locked the keys in your car right!? Well, I started to panic...Sadie was tied into her seat and Lillie was in her carrier but, I had no idea how I was going to get them out of the car..I called Eric at work and couldn't get through to ANYONE!! Not even security!! I didn't know what I was going to do...My son-in-law said he would bring me home to get the spare key but, I didn't know if it was home or if Eric had it...AND...I don't have a key to get in my house!! I always use the garage door opener...(I know....I need to get a house key AND another car key made!) I thought I having my 10 yr old niece go through the trunk (my back seat folds down) but, I would need the keys that were inside my car to get the trunk open....So......Dad said...why don't you call the police..(AAA would have taken too long and didn't want to leave the girls in the car for that long although, I think I was more panicked than the furbabies!!) So...I called the police...they came in about 5 minutes and unlocked the door!!! YEYYY!!!! I was so happy and excited that I hugged the cop! Everyones ok....even me! He started to laugh and asked if I only had the one dog (I have known this cop since he was a little boy) I took Lillie out of her carrier and he looked at her and said..."O what a little sweetheart! Was kinda funny to hear coming from a cop...then he proceeded to tell me about his dog...a soft coated wheaten terrier..and her name is Lillie too!...
This was something I always dreaded would happen and THANK GOD! I was at my parents and not in a parking lot or something
K.....that's my story for today!
