A notorious animal abuse case that made national headlines has come to a conclusion. The two men accused of drop-kicking and killing a Yorkshire terrier named Gizmo have settled a lawsuit with the dog's owners. According to published reports, Chad Crawford and Michael Davis settled with the plaintiffs Tuesday for an undisclosed amount.
The two men still face animal cruelty charges for the April, 2004 incident. The two pleaded not guilty. That trial begins in February.
