I find when dealing with customer service personnel anywhere, there are many opinion's and rules change from person to person. I would call a few times, ask to speak to a manager each time - plead your case and maybe you'll get lucky. If so, get that person's name and phone number if possible. The funny thing is, once someone says it is ok, you can't seem to find anyone that says no???? It's worth a try, and only costs a little time.
