 Just a suggestion
Have you thought about trying belly bands? Our Yorkie is 4 mos. and is paper trained while in his ex-pen but usually doesn't make it to the paper when he is out of it so I use belly bands. They were a great option for me..but not necessarily for everyone. Guess it depends on how you feel about diapering a dog! Some people are opposed to using a BB but each to his own.. I don't mind..to me it is better than becoming so frustrated that I would even think about getting rid of my precious little fella! In case you wonder what happens when he drops his tootsie rolls...with Teddy it is easier to catch him before he does that than when he has to piddle. Usually he does that shortly after he eats so I just keep him in his ex-pen until he does it then pick it up and trash it. As for the barking when he is in the crate...you might try an ex-pen instead of a crate. If he has been used to having more room to roam around in he might do better with an ex-pen...but then depends on your situation. Hope all turns out for you! |
