Don't worry, my hubby started telling me that same thing years ago, do like I do, ignore him.
I have been collecting Surfin Santa's for years, just like you, one or maybe two a year. He now loves them, I actually let him pick one out on occasion, makes him feel important.
This is the look I get when I tell him it's his turn to pick.........
