Do you have Nutrical or Nutristat available? If not, do you have Karo (corn syrup). When they don't eat they can get low blood sugar which makes them sleepy and is a life threatening condition. She needs "sugar" the first thing as soon as possible. Honey will also do in a pinch, but is usually not recommended by most because of the possible bacteria that could be in it. This will also help stimulate her appetite.
The yellow frothy vomit is probably acid from having an empty tummy. She needs to eat a minimum of every 8 hours at this age. You might have to spoil her with some baby food pureed chicken or boil up your own skinless chicken and serve with white rice.
If she continues to vomit, acts lethargic (they do sleep a lot, but when they are awake they should be full of energy) or has loose stools then you should probably make a vet appointment. You can't be too careful with one this young. |
