Awww, poor little Hobbs. But I know how you feel because this happens to my sweet Codie. Whenever I walk my babies, people always stop and say how beautiful Tia is and they rant and rave about her (she's 3 lbs). But hardly ever does someone do that to Codie (he's 8 lbs). It just really bugs me because he may be bigger but he's GORGEOUS! He has NO tear staining, his coat is a lush snow white color and super soft and he has the sweetest personality and disposition. It always pisses me off because people can't look past his SIZE -- they only see a bigger dog.
