I have a female that will be 6 months Dec 11th. Is she too young to get spayed?

What is the normal age to get a female spayed?

I'm want to wait to see if any baby teeth need removing, but I'm so afraid she'll go into heat, while I'm waiting. I do NOT want that to happen.
