Jack and Jilly have a new sister. Her name is Kenzi. She is 10 months old and came from YT member Breezeaway in Kentucky. Hubby drove me down on Monday to pick her up. Tuesday night they all meet each other. Much to my surprize
the meeting didn't go as I had thought. There were growls and barks and nervousness on my part.
Wednesday was more of the same with more getting to know one another and sniffing and following one another.
Today is a little better with them even having a playful hour this morning. Jilly and Kenzi were even sharing Jilly's bed for a little bit tonight in my office. I couldn't get the camera without disturbing them, but that was sure a Kodak moment. I had to put together a make shift bed so both the girls would have a place to sleep while I'm on YT! Guess what? Kenzi's got Jill's bed and Jill is in the temp bed. I gotta get another pink bed...oh, darn! Jack is usually in my lap.
She is a little sweety, all 3.3 lbs. of her. Breezeaway was very sad to see her leave, but I reassured her she was going to a loving YT home. I thought of her while on the 10 hour ride home and how she might be feeling. I did call with an update while on the rode. Also pm'd with reports. Kenzi was a real trooper on the ride to her new home.
Her grooming appt. was cancelled today because of illness, but we did go to the vet.
So I know these next few weeks will be a period of adjusting for all of us. Hubby was a real sweatheart
to first of all give the ok to add #3 and then to drive me so far to pick her up!!! I got an early Christmas
present!!!
