 need advice
Hi. It has been a while since I have posted. I have some questions about getting another yorkie. I currently have a male that is just over 1 year old. Both myself and husband are out of the house for 8 hours a day and we would like him to have a playmate/companion. I have done some research and spoken with some breeders. The general feedback I am getting is to get another male dog. I am told that males will play better. If I were to get a female he would try and hump her and could infect her or piss her off (he is neuetered). I strictly want a playmate and not to breed. Does this seem accurate? Does anyone have experience getting another one of the same sex? I also hear that these dogs are best when you have more than one. Is it less work? Any advice and pointers are much appreciated as I am a little nervous about getting another dog. Also breeders in my area are asking 1200-1500 for a puppy. Does this seem high? Any questions I should ask a breeder? Thanks! |
