I'm just asking - not trying to argue. Just curious.
having CH back somewhere in the pedigree is no guarantee that there is no history of problems in the line. Many dedicated show people can share stories of how they were lied to by someone who supposedly bought a "pet only" from them and turned around and bred the dog to whatever was available (the neighbor had such a cute dog and we only were going to do this once so we could keep one more pup for our family/friends/etc......not sure where the neighbor got their dog....think it was a pet store....but he was soooo cute )
The risks of breeding a mill or byb dog are not stereotype.....check the sick/help posts on here for just a small smattering of consequences. and yes, reputable, responsible breeders that HAVE done the research may still have the occasional pup with an issue, but the incidence is far, far less frequent and they will stand behind their guarantees and make sure the pup gets the proper treatment.
