It's a fruit! It is a funny looking red fruit that kind of looks like an apple. It is really weird looking inside. It is white and pithy with a lot of berries inside. The berries taste good but each one has a seed in that is a pain. We just kind of chewed the berry and spit out the seed. I am not sure where all they are grown.
Hope this helps a little. Don't feel so bad about not knowing, afterall I had to ask HOW to eat one!
