Poor little dude
I'm so sorry that he's in pain, and I hope that the medicine helps. Of course he's groggy from it, but that's good so he won't hurt himself by jumping around too much. He WILL heal, and your bond will be tighter than ever. You saved his life by scooping him up before more damage could be done to his little body, and I'm sure that he knows that.
