Help!!! I Am Very Worried About Bruce!!! Here is the situation: We are stuck in the middle of an artic freezy and due to very icy roads are completely unable to drive to the emergency vet, and I have no idea if weather is going to be a problem tommorow...
Bruce is having diaheria, and it seems bad! This morning on our morning walk he had a very watery stool, but there was no mucus nothing like that but it sort of just shot out (sorry that sounds gross). Now he has had two more HUGE EXTREMELY WATERY and mucussy looking poops, one appeared to have blood in it (but just a small bit of reddish brown). He seems to be eating normally, and drinking water, his energy level also seems okay. However, he jumps slightly when after these watery mucussy stools and keeps scooting at his but. His anal glands were also just expressed so I do not think it is that. I have examined the poop and see no worms or those rice grainy things they get near their buts with tape worms. I am beside myself because I do not want him to be hurt or become gravely ill. What could this be? How can I help him before we get to the vet?
