I'm afraid to use the clips, metal or plastic, plastic especially. My babies pull them out of each others hair and I know they'd chew them. Probably it would be ok but it would freak me if they started to bleed from their mouths. I suggest making 2 little pony tails, one on each side. Sometimes it looks silly and sometimes it looks cute.
