I got my pup when he was 8 weeks old, and he had the worst hair I have every seen in every way --- and yes - it was oily. He needed a bath almost eery day - and even with that after a little petting, he was as oily as every.
It was really very bad........ And, his hair was bad in other ways too, matted, couldn't comb it, etc. ----

So - from the day I got him - I started trimming off that baby hair. I took it off his tummy entirely and cut the rest of it as short as I could. And, as soon as it grew a little - I trimmed it again.

Within a couple months - his baby hair was gone- and he was beginning to sport a very beautiful coat of hair that wasn't oily. His hair today is silky (wavey), doesn't tangle, and is as soft and shinny as it can be. And - he no longer has an oily coat.

****** So I would suggest keeping him in a cute, darling puppycut until all that awful baby hair is gone. Then - I'm sure you'll see a lot of improvement.
