My apartment's pretty limited on space so I'm going to make my own grooming space by taking a piece of plywood, covering it top and bottom with some of that non-skid cupboard liner, and placing it over my bathroom sink (so it fits the entire area of my bathroom counter). I'll glue bracing pieces to the bottom so it will not be able to slide without being lifted and is supported on the ends, and I'll cut a notch for where the tap sticks up. Then I'll just cover it all with a towel when I'm grooming. That way it will provide a non-slip, flat surface that's easy to clean up, and it's close to an electrical outlet for plugging in clippers and blow dryer.

That's my plan anyways, a little project I plan on executing in my dad's workshop over the holidays. I never said I was handy with a jigsaw...we'll see how it turns out!
