Is it Blue Buffalo or just Blue?

I've heard some good things about the former. Just in general, I have been very disappointed with the quality, or should I say, lack thereof, of food Petsmart and Petco carry. If you want Pedigree or Proplan or some low end food such as these, you can get it from them, but you can't get Solid Gold, Innova, Prarie, Newmans, Wysong, etc. About the only food my local Petco carries that I buy in a pinch is Natural Balance. If you don't want to buy on-line (that what I do 90% of the time), try to find a small neighborhood pet shop or dog training center. These smaller places often sell higher quality pet food. My hunch here is that people who tend to shop in the big retail chains are looking for savings (volume sellers) and are less label conscious. If you are willing to go to a small shop, you may find that what they lack in quantity, they make up in quality. That's my hunch. Anyhow there's a small petshop in my neighborhood that carries Wellness, Canidae, California Natural and chicken Soup. When I run out of my standbys - I will buy from this shop instead of Petco.
