I am assuming the breeder is in your area-SC, I think. Is that the going rate for puppies from show breeders down there? I would think that a breeder would know before 6 months that a bitch or dog has enough faults to prevent showing him or her. Weight is not a fault but tiny dogs do not do well in the ring..That is just an observation. In the Balto/DC area where there are show breeders galore, I have never seen a dog that was not already in the ring or a male with points that will be used as stud for that price.
I don't know if you have small children or other animals but if not, and you have that much money for a small Yorkie, then consider getting the puppy.
