I know the breeder I got Hootie and Hobbs from bred 2 on and then took a break. Hobbs was from the bitch's very first litter ever and Hootie is 7 months younger than Hobbs and was the bitch's second litter ever. When we went to pick up Hootie, I told the breeder that lots of people I have met were interested in getting a yorkie from her, but she said she was taking a break for awhile and that she did 2 heat cycles on, then took a break, but she didn't say how long the break was for, but I assumed it was for AT LEAST one heat cycle.
