What an honor and priviledge to be able to love a dog for 16 years! The pain won't leave it simply gets tucked away in a quiet place over time. I still tear up when I think of my Keegan and his untimely death. They're such a joy and I wish I'd had the opportunity to love him for 16 years. You must have been agreat mom.
