Ummm...the crate DIDN'T work. We tried for a few minutes...a few hours...and all she would do was bark and scream and carry on. We finally stopped when she was 5 months old and switched to an xpen. Now that we have the pen, she's more used to being in there while we're at work, but we still have issues with her being alone.
I kept the crate for travel, or when/if it's ABSOLUTELY necessary. I took the door off and put a blanket in there to see if she'd just go in there for fun. She won't. Right now our humidifier is sitting on top of it
I honestly think she's clausterphobic (sp?)-she hates it in her crate, or being confined to a room where she can't see out. But, she's fine in her xpen, in a big room, or in a purse/bag where she can see what's going on.
